Mohamed Rameez wins the 2016 CHIPP prize
Congratulations to newly arrived postdoc Mohamed Rameez for winning the 2016 CHIPP prize for Particle Physics in Switzerland.
The prize is awarded annually by the Swiss Institute of Particle Physics to the best PhD student (theory or experiment). Rameez's thesis at Geneva University was titled "IceCube searches for neutrinos from dark matter annihilations in the Sun and cosmic accelerators” and he was invited to present his work and receive the award (a diploma plus 3000 CHF) at the in Lugano on 23 August. Rameez will continue to pursue his interests in the NBIA Astroparticle Physics Group.
