Jonathan Heckman

Jonathan Heckman from Institute for Advanced Studies, is visiting the Discovery Center and Niels Bohr Academy in the period May 8 - MAY 13, 2012 to work with Donal O'Connel. Although he is a young scientist, Jonathan Heckman has developed considerable insight into two areas of fundamental interest to the Discovery Centre. Firstly, he has considerable expertise in particle physics phenomenology, having studied "top-down" F-theory models for LHC physics in a series of papers, in addition to his very recent work on the Higgs coupling to gluons and photons in a large class of models. Secondly, in work which appeared last Christmas with Herman Verlinde, Jonathan has made exciting contributions to understanding the simplicity of gauge and gravity amplitudes.
