Title: Searching for the conformal window on the lattice

Abstract: Non-Abelian gauge theories with large enough number of fundamental representation fermions or with fermions in higher representations can feature an infrared fixed point, i.e. the long distance behaviour of the theories becomes conformal.  Besides theoretical interest, these theories can be building blocks for technicolor-like scenarios.
Identifying the correct infrared behaviour can be surprisingly difficult with lattice methods.
In this talk I review the recent results in SU(2) gauge theory with fundamental and
adjoint representation fermions.
