William Shepherd - new Post Doc at the Discovery Center

Just arrived from the University of California at Santa Cruz, William Shepherd is a new postdoc at the Discovery Center.

Just arrived from the University of California at Santa Cruz, William Shepherd is a new post-doc at the Discovery Center.

William received his PhD from the University of California at Irvine, where he specialized in collider physics and phenomenology.

William has written some of the most influential papers on dark matter and the prospects of dark matter detection at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). He joins the Discovery Center at just the right time to continue work in this direction by establishing how to find such signals at the LHC, combining astrophysical constraints with the possibility of finally understanding dark matter from a particle physics perspective.
