Guido Macorini and Valery Yundin join the Discovery Center

Two new post-docs have just arrived at the Discovery Center:

Guido Macorini from Lecce University and Valery Yundin from Silesia University and DESY Zeuthen.

Guido Macorini has a background in collider phenomenology, but has also worked on integrability in N=4 Super Yang-Mills theory and its counterpart in string theory. He is currently pursuing both directions, and is now working with Richard Ball and Poul Damgaard on anomalous dimensions of operators in QCD.

Valery Yundin has just recieved his PhD with Tord Riemann at DESY as advisor. He has already worked closely with Simon Badger, and this work on numerical implementations of algorithms for cross section evaluations for the LHC continues now with full force after Valery has joined the Discovery Center.
