Juan Garcia-Bellido
14. maj 2012
Professor Juan Garcia-Bellido is visiting the Discovery Center and Niels Bohr Academy in the period May 14 - May 17, 2012. Juan Garcia-Bellido occupies a central place within Cosmology in Europe, and has for many years done influential work on reheating, preheating and gravitational wave production after cosmological inflation and cosmological phase transitions. Recently, he has added a more observational dimension to his work, working on data analysis of current and planned cosmological surveys and satellite missions.

Marek Chojnacki - new post doc
07. maj 2012
Marek Chojnacki has joined the Discovery center as a post doc and will contribute to maintenance tasks of the FMD (ALICE sub-detector build by NBI) and the analysis of data collected by this sub-detector. Marek will also study properties of the high multiplicity proton-proton collisions.
Alejandro Alonso - new post doc
07. maj 2012
Alejandro Alonso has joined Discovery as a post doc. Alejandro has a great interest in tracking, particle identification and gas detectors and will be working in the upgrade of the ATLAS Minimum Bias Trigger System to be replaced by a micromegas detector.

Subir Sarkar from Oxford University is visiting the Discovery Center from the 6th of May to the 9th of May 2012, to work with Pavel Naselsky and associates.
Rob Schabinger
03. maj 2012
Rob Schabinger from Madrid is visiting the Discovery Center and Niels Bohr Academy in the period May 3-4, 2012 to discuss with Simon Badger. His work deals with the construction of integral bases for amplitude computations.
The goal of such calculations is to generate much more efficient and simpler methods for computations of amplitudes in the Standard Model.
